Waterproof Flooring Options
If you're looking for a new floor for your home or office, don't let moisture prevent you from choosing something stylish. Be sure to visit Masterpiece Carpet One Floor & Home in Kalispell to take advantage of our selection of waterproof flooring options.
Our waterproof flooring selection includes luxury vinyl flooring, tile flooring, and waterproof carpet.
Luxury Vinyl Flooring
All luxury vinyl flooring options are considered water resistant, but not all are waterproof. The waterproof luxury vinyl flooring options are WPC (wood-plastic composite) and rigid core flooring.
WPC flooring options, such as our exclusive Invincible H2O, feature a strong waterproof core. This core provides exceptional dimensional stability to the planks and tiles, so they will not expand or contract when exposed to moisture. Also, the core prevents moisture from penetrating into the planks and tiles and reaching the subfloor.
Rigid core flooring is not as popular as WPC flooring, but it is more durable. Whereas WPC flooring has a layered construction, rigid core planks and tiles are more uniform. These planks are extremely strong and dense, so they can withstand moisture and other external factors.
Tile is one of the most time-tested waterproof flooring options. Ceramic, porcelain, and stone tile can all handle moisture, so they are some of the first choices for kitchens and bathrooms.
Although all tiles can be considered waterproof, some are rated better for extreme moisture. Porcelain tiles, for example, can usually handle moisture better than ceramic, but be sure to work with our tile experts to learn more.
Typically, carpet is not suitable for areas with moisture, but we do have a waterproof carpet: Tigressa H2O. Tigressa H2O is considered waterproof because of its strong thermoplastic backing. This backing stops moisture from soaking into the carpet, so most spills can be cleaned from the surface without many long-term consequences. Also, Tigressa H2O has durable carpet fibers that will resist stains.
